Keeda J. Haynes Upon graduating college, Keeda J. Haynes found herself among the millions of brown and black people wrongfully incarcerated in the United States. Upon release, she earned her law degree, and has served as both a public defender and a criminal justice reform activist. She currently works for the Sentencing Project as their Voting Rights Campaign Strategist, aiming to return voting to those ensnared by mass incarceration. And she is also the author of the recent memoir, Bending the Arc: My Journey from Prison to Politics (2021), dubbed “essential” reading for all those striving for justice today.
