In-Person and Virtual (Zoom)
Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship Main Space, Tepper Quad

Presented by: Len Caric, Previous President of Uncle Charlie's Sausage Company and Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University.

By participating in this seminar you will come away with knowledge on:

  • How to source for a company to buy.
  • What a Search fund is.
  • Figure out how to finance the purchase of a business.
  • An understanding of Franchising and how to find what will work for you.
  • What happens when you are now running your business?

Have you ever had the desire to run your own company?  People think of Entrepreneurship as coming up with the next great tech idea and doing a start-up.  When in fact, some of the best businesses are ones that are run by entrepreneurs that have been around for a while.  These great businesses provide products and services that businesses and you and I use every day.  Think Tootsie Roll!  Over 25% of business owners are over the age of 60.  Many do not have a succession plan and want to retire with proceeds from their biggest asset, there business.  Think you don’t know the first thing there is to run a business?  Think of being in business for yourself but not by yourself in a Franchise.

On Saturday, December 4th, Len Caric will present how these Entrepreneurial Alternatives can become a reality for you.  He is currently under a Letter of Intent to purchase a distribution company as well as launching a new Franchise Concept, Smashed Waffles.  He will share real-life stories of these journeys.

If it is time to turn the page and take control of your own destiny, then join him from 9:00 AM until noon on December 4th for an interactive presentation on how you can buy a company or become a franchisee.
