Ahmed Shalaby
Ahmed Shalaby graduated from CMU in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering.He is currently running a New York-based software startup, Octane, which he co-founded in 2020.Before Octane, he worked at companies across multiple industries including health, law, finance, and tech.

Anne Alcasid
Anne Alcasid earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering with an additional major in Biomedical Engineering and an MS in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon in 2014 and began her career at Edwards Lifesciences, a company specializing in structural heart implants and hemodynamic monitoring. She has spent the past seven years learning from positions ranging from manufacturing process development to developing new implant prototypes. She currently works as a Staff Research and Development Engineer in Advanced Technology, the Edwards business unit responsible for developing future technology for the business.

Brittani Grant
Brittani Grant graduated from the College of Engineering in 2012 with a Bachelors and Masters in Civil Engineering. She started her career in construction project management and worked on the iconic Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC. Currently, Brittani works as a Business Planning and Operations Manager at Meta (formally known as Facebook) in the Sourcing and Operations Engineering group to deliver unrivaled data center infrastructure to connect the world.

Charlie Wiecha
Charlie Wiecha received his M.S. in electrical and computer engineering and his Ph.D. in engineering and public policy at CMU, focused on human computer interaction in modeling tools for policy analysis.

Currently, he is part of the leadership team for IBM's AI Ops service, which applies ML/AI tools to real-time monitoring of IT installations. He is also Adjunct Instructor with CMU-Africa, co-teaching this Spring on AI Systems Design in the Cloud.

Jaimin B. Shah
Jaimin B. Shah earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 2001, with a minor in Biomedical Engineering. After working in various engineering and business roles at Air Products & Chemicals, an industrial gases and chemicals company, he obtained his J.D. from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law and his MBA from the University of Maryland Smith School ofBusiness. He began his legal practice in intellectual property and is currently Deputy General Counsel of Adaptimmune, a T-cell therapy company working to improve the lives of people fighting cancer.

Lauren (Milisits) Gonzalez
Lauren (Milisits) Gonzalez graduated from CMU with bachelor degrees in Mechanical Engineering (ENG 2013) and Computer Science (SCS 2014). After graduation, she moved to Austin, Texas and worked as a software developer for a start-up. While working in Austin, she attended The University of Texas at Austin and earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (2017), completing a thesis on optimizing part properties using additive manufacturing. In 2017, she joined Shell where she works in Deepwater Projects as an Offshore Engineer, designing and installing subsea infrastructure in the Gulf of Mexico. She is a Pittsburgh native who currently lives in Houston, Texas with her husband and 1yo son.

Lisa Salley
Lisa Salley holds a B.S.in Materials Science from CMU and an M.S. in Industrial & Management Engineering from Rensselar Polytechnic Institute. She is an award-winning entrepreneur and executive who has spent over 30 years in corporate American, including positions at GE, Dow, Underwriters’ Laboratories, and the American Petroleum Institute. She is also the Founder and CEO of Heritage Solutions Group, a strategy advisory firm that works to level the playing field for start-up, mid-tier businesses and transitional organizations by providing the same game-changing solutions that enable rapid growth, restarts, and smart execution that larger organizations access thru big brand management consulting firms. Lisa currently serves as the Board Director, Committee Chair and Patent & Strategy Committee Product Development Advisor to the CEO at the cleantech startup Arduro.
