Learn about Three Minute Thesis (3MT®)

Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is an internationally recognized competition that challenges Ph.D. students to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance in just three minutes, in language that anyone can understand. In the 2022 3MT® Championship, CMU Ph.D. students representing a variety of research areas take to the stage to discuss their thesis for a chance to win technology or travel grants. CMU leadership judges the competition and a People's Choice Award goes to the competitor with the most audience votes. This event is open to the public.
